Taipei, Taiwan, and Seoul, South Korea, 7 July 2026 — Lotus Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 1795), a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Taiwan, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Alvogen Korea has successfully completed the Day 1 commercial launch of its generic enzalutamide in South Korea, further strengthening the Company’s oncology and urology portfolio in one of Lotus’ key Asian markets.
Lotus’ enzalutamide, a generic version of Xtandi®, is an androgen receptor inhibitor used in treatment of certain patients with prostate cancer. The Day 1 launch expands treatment options for patients in South Korea by improving access to this important therapy.
Developed in-house by Lotus, its generic enzalutamide has been progressively launched across international markets since 2021. The product is now commercialised in more than 20 markets around the world, including South Korea, demonstrating the Company’s proven capabilities in developing and launching complex oncology products worldwide. According to IQVIA, the enzalutamide market in South Korea was valued at approximately KRW 53 billion, equivalent to approximately US$39 million, in the 12 months ended 1Q 2026, representing a four-year CAGR of 19.4%.
