Lotus Pharmaceutical Announces Completion of UroVaxom® Product Rights Acquisition in South Korea

Taipei, Taiwan, and Seoul, South Korea, 07 October 2026 — Lotus Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 1795), a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Taiwan, today announced the completion of the acquisition of the South Korea product rights for UroVaxom® from OM Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, following the successful transfer of the product’s marketing authorisation to its wholly owned subsidiary, Alvogen Korea.

Alvogen Korea is now the marketing authorisation holder for UroVaxom® in South Korea, having assumed responsibility for the product’s distribution on 1 July 2026¹ under the agreement announced in May 2026.2

UroVaxom® has an established clinical profile and long-standing market presence as an oral immunostimulant product for the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections. The product is marketed in more than 53 countries and reached more than one million patients globally in 2025.

Petar Vazharov, Chief Executive Officer of Lotus, commented, “The transfer of the marketing authorisation completes our acquisition of the South Korea product rights for UroVaxom®. As the marketing authorisation holder, Alvogen Korea is well positioned to further expand the availability of UroVaxom®, supporting broader patient access to this important product. Looking ahead, we plan to initiate technology transfer and work towards bringing manufacturing in-house, supporting improved operational efficiency, plant utilisation and product economics over time.”
